Fabulous Blushers

I was so excited when Makeup Reveolution came out with these, was itching to get my hands on them. Matte blushers are my favourite and this collection is just a dream for any makeup addict. For £3 you get a sturdy packaged 8.9g product, which I think is pretty amazing.

Beloved - is a peachy soft coral

Nude - is a brown toned nude

Fusion - is a warm tone peachy/pink

Divine - is a light baby pink

Dare - is a blue based barbie pink

New Rules - is a super bright reddy coral

All the above swatches have been taken without primer. They feel like butter and are so soft, pigmentation speaks for it self. They last all day.

Definitely use a light hand when applying these babies. Purchase them here Makeup Revolution

Have you tried them? Leave your thoughts.

Iconic Pro Lipsticks

Now here are some fantastic, super affordable lipsticks by none other that Makeup Revolution. A brand which I am seeing everywhere. (Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest etc).Quickly it has become a favourite brand.

The lipsticks have good pigmentation, last for a good 4-5 hours however I needed a top up after lunch, but I can over look that considering the price point. I mean come on £2.49? Obviously its not Mac but still great. Out of the three I have I feel Propoganda Matte lasted better than they other two. The formula is great, they don't smell funny like I have experienced with cheaper lipsticks before. Sorry but I am a fussy madame like that, if it smells funny or I dislike the smell then you'll be damn sure it won't be going on my face.

The packaging is so cute bullet shape rose gold and black, a perfect combo. I am sucker for rose gold, copper and gold packaging. So pretty, nah?

Some bloggers have compared a few of the shades with Mac lipsticks, I felt Propoganda Matte is similar shade to Russian Red but the texture is different and Russian Red is deeper in colour. I would say this is a semi-matte. Its slightly satiny on the lips rather than drying. I wouldn't be surprised if there are other dupes.

No Perfection Yet - Beautiful plum

Liberty Matte - Stunning purple shade

Propoganda Matte - Deep burgundy red

Pros
- Pigmentation, very intense
- Texture
- Adorable packaging, who doesn't like rose gold packaging?
- Good range of shades
- Dupes

Cons
- Lasting power might be not enough for some, but fine for me.

Purchase them here Makeup Revolution

Have you tried them? Would love to here your thoughts.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Shadow Couture World Traveler Palette

Hello Lovelies

This is just my first impression and swatches of the Anasatisa Beverly Hills latest palette ' Shadow Couture Palette'. As soon as I saw this on Instagram I was like WOW! I just fell in love with the palette. It is a limited addition, when it's gone it's gone beauty's. So if you want it, you'd better hurry.

I ordered mine from the ABH cosmetics website for $30. Which of course means if you're in the UK, duty/vat/handling is payable in the UK in addition to the delivery charges from ABH. It was available from Cult Beauty but was sold out within hours. Shame.

When you look at this palette, the packaging and shadows just look so luxuries and breathtaking. The packaging is a sturdy cardboard, with a mirror inside. You also get a double ended brush which is quite good and useful.

The shades are pigmented, silky and blend like a dream. Below are the description from ABH. Some have my first thoughts on them.

Soft Peach - Nude pastel peach with ultra-matte finish. Perfect description pastel peach.

Morocco - Deep burnt orange with an ultra-matte finish.

Heirloom - Pinky eggplant with sparkle finish. I would say its more a deep purple with hints on pink. The fine glitter specks reflects different shades when hit by light. Pretty nah?

Bellini - Golden peach with satin finish.

Pink Champagne - Shimmery pink with a titanium finish. Such a unique shade, I don't own anything similar. All most like a foiled shadow. My swatch does not do justice to it :(.

Chic - Taupe gray with a shimmer finish. I don't really see much taupe but there is a hint of it. Chic, Pink Champagne and Metallic is what drew me in, like WTH are these for really? Sooo obsessing right now.

Spoiled - Gold-flecked peach with a metallic finish.

Fudge - Rich, chocolate brown with an ultra-matte finish.

Azure - Vibrant blue with a metallic finish. Drooling....

Intense Gaze- Bronzed pink with a satin finish.

Metallic - Brassy gold with a metallic finish.

Noir - Deep carbon black with an ultra-matte finish. Black does not get more intense then this and super smooth. Imagine using it wet.

Overall I would say this is a very versatile palette, totally speaks for it self. I can see some colours totally working for fall aswel. I haven't played with it yet expect for wearing a few shades to work which lasted all day, again blend beautifully. ABH totally nailed it with this palette. Can't wait to see what else is in store for us.

Have you got this? What are your thoughts? I would love to hear them.

The Perfect Palette

Too Faced Chocolate Bar

I am a huge fan of neutral shades and this palette is just ummmm....yum, made with cocoa powder!

Firstly the packaging is a sturdy case in form of a chocolate bar, with a decent size mirror inside. You get a plastic sleeve/cover with all the names printed on.

Now the eyeshadows, they are gorgeous shades from browns, bronze to a pink and a purple shade. Its a mixture of matte's and pearl and shimmer textures. The palette is mostly warm toned.
All the shades are pigmented, creamy and easy to blend. Few matte shades are a bit powdery, as you can see from the swatch pictures below. However you can use a primer, layer and get the intensity you want. In comparison with Urban Decay Naked palettes, this palette is a mix of  Naked 1 and 3. There isn't any taupe shades If that's something you prefer in a palette like this.

Gilded Ganache, White Chocolate, Milk Chocolate, Black Forest Truffle

Triple Fudge, Salted Caramel, Marzipan, Semi-Sweet

Strawberry Bon Bon, Candied Violet, Amaretto

Hazelnut, Crème Brulee, Haute Chocolate, Cherry Cordial

Champagne Truffle (excuse my vains :( )

Pros

- Firstly you get 16 delicious chocolate smelling eyeshadows. I mean how one can not like that? Unless you hate chocolate?

- They are buttery, pigmented and blend beautifully.

- Good mixture of shades and textures

- One other thing to notice is the highlighter shades have more product than the rest, which is a good thing because naturally you would use them more.

- Prefect for travelling, good mix of shades. Take a day look and smoke to a dazzling night look.

- Shades are great, will work for wide range of skin tones.

Cons
- Few of the matte shades are powdery.

All in all people it's a great palette, great pigmentation and smells like chocolate you just want to eat it!!!

How I Clean My Brushes

Hello Lovelies

This is how I clean my brushes and no you don't need a brush cleaner! In my eyes this is the best way to clean brushes.

What you will need:
- baby shampoo
- clean towel
- if you have the real techniques brush holders then have them at hand (I'll explain why, later).

Step 1
Pour some baby shampoo in the palm of your hand with a little water like below.

Step 2

Rub the tip of the brushes in circular motions to let the shampoo spread through the brissles, to get all the dirt out!

Step 3

Run the tap and keep doing circular motions under the running water until you can see clear water running from the brush.

Step 4

Lay your brushes flat on towel to dry or if you have the real techniques brush holders you can use them to dry your brushes. If you are using the brush holder, make sure you keep the brushes up side down because you don't want the water getting in the brush.
